After more than 20 years with a consistent visual identity, the Perth Wildcats were ready for a transformative evolution. What began as a logo redesign quickly became a comprehensive brand reset—one rooted in deep insight, purposeful storytelling, and a shared vision for the future. The Wildcats have long been a symbol of Western Australian pride, boasting a legacy forged through decades of community connection, championship success, and the unwavering loyalty of the Red Army. With the game and fan engagement evolving rapidly, and the club itself entering a new era of leadership and ambition, the need for a fresh identity that bridges past and future was clear.
Our role was to collaborate closely with the Wildcats’ visionary team to create a brand that honors this rich heritage while pushing boundaries. Every element was intentional: the fierce open-mouth growl and fanged jaw pay homage to the club’s ’90s lion mark; the intense, focused eyes embody the classic Wildcats spirit locked on new challenges; and the new wordmark advances legacy through sharp points echoing wildcat ears and a dynamic, windswept lean that channels Perth’s renowned Westerly winds.
